Our Story...Since 2004
Our history took root in Philadelphia back in 2004 when our founder, Donny, established our first office.Â

After serving as a captive agent for a major corporation, Donny saw firsthand that local needs were often overlooked. Fueling his desire to build a more genuine, community-focused agency, he decided to branch out on his own and turn insurance puzzles into simple local solutions

Ten years later, recognizing the vibrant growth of the Hispanic population in Norristown, we proudly expanded with a second location. This move placed us at the center of the neighborhood, enabling us to provide personalized support to the families and local businesses we are honored to serve.

A Legacy isn't just about what we've built, but also about who we are and the values we pass forward. Our founder's commitment to the local community has grown into a living family legacy, as all of Donny's children now work side-by-side within the business, ensuring our clients receive the same care and dedication for generations to come.

While Donny laid our foundational roots in Philadelphia, with the support of his eldest son, Sergio, it was his son and right-hand man, Antonio, who spotted the unique needs and incredible potential in Norristown. It was time to expand - not just into a new neighborhood, but in our scope of care. By adding a wider array of vital services to our menu, we transformed Montano Insurance into an even more comprehensive, one-stop resource that families can depend on for generations.
Damaris Montano
Motivated to follow in Donny’s footsteps, Damaris took the initiative to earn her insurance producer license and Notary Public credentials early on, setting a strong foundation before officially joining the family business in 2021. Building on that solid foundation, she also became a PennDOT authorized agent. Her initiative allowed the Norristown location to expand its menu of care to provide instant vehicle tag and registration services directly to our clients.

She is a proud graduate of La Salle University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, bringing a deeper understanding of people and client care to the team.

Constantly leveling up her expertise to better serve our community, Damaris went on to achieve her Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA) designation in 2025, adding a vital layer of specialized support to the Montano team.
