Fun Facts About our Founder

Donny escaped the corporate skyscrapers once he realized they spoke in riddles. Since 2004, he has been our resident jargon-slayer, turning insurance puzzles into simple local solutions—showing everyone that safety should never be a massive migraine.

Back in Nicaragua, Donny spent his free time serving as a baseball umpire. Once he made Pennsylvania his home, that lifelong love for the diamond naturally turned him into a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies fan. You can usually find him rooting for the home team when he's not helping clients!

No matter how long he’s lived in PA, his absolute favorite comfort food will always be a traditional Nicaraguan nacatamal. He is always up for one!

Every Thanksgiving, Donny starts a tradition that brings the whole team together. Although the agency is closed for business, you will still find Donny and the rest of the Frankford crew outside the office handing out free coffee, donuts, and sandwiches to neighbors in need.

After seeing how many individuals were being deported leaving families and assets behind and unprotected, Donny came up with the idea to offer free Power of Attorney (POA) drafting and notarization to individuals fearing deportation. For him, protecting the community always comes before business.

Fun Facts About Damaris

Damaris is the niña of the family and the only sister to three brothers—so managing our Norristown branch is easy compared to that.

She dedicates her free time making a real impact, whether is fostering rescue dogs, volunteering as a tutor at the Literacy Council of Norristown, supporting DV survivors with the Women's Center of Montgomery County or donating blood/platelets at the Red Cross. Don’t worry—she brings the same fierce dedication to the office, making sure your insurance policy is every bit as reliable as she is.

She is a self-proclaimed, absolute coffee lover—which explains why the agency's consultation policy so heavily relies on clients bringing in a good cup of coffee.

When you drop by our Norristown location, you might briefly get the feeling that you walked into the wrong place. Instead of a cold, boring insurance office, Damaris has filled the space with a lush collection of plants and a massive obsession for amount of fun Snoopy decor.

If you're ever in the area, feel free to stop by and say "Hola" to Damaris (and, if you're lucky, to a foster dog!). And don't forget the coffee! (black- no milk, no sugar).

Fun Facts About "Special Boy" Antonio

Growing up, Donny always had a nickname for Antonio, affectionately calling him his "special boy"—a bond that naturally evolved into Antonio becoming Donny's right hand in the business.

Antonio is the agency's go-to expert for Commercial Insurance. Even better, he specializes in dealing with work permits and license requests for the notoriously strict City of Philadelphia, saving local contractors a massive amount of headaches and money.

He earned his Associate of Arts degree from LaSalle University, a milestone that honed his communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills before he dove headfirst into the insurance business

Antonio takes a "clean home" to an entirely new level. In fact, his partner completely stopped cleaning altogether because Antonio would inevitably just come behind her and clean everything all over again!

Out of the four siblings, Antonio is definitely the funniest... or at least, that is what he claims! (his mother would back him up on this).

He knows your insurance policies inside and out down to the finest detail. But consider this your official warning: once you join the Montano Insurance family, you will not escape his legendary dad jokes!
